WelshLamb
Impromptu day off work today, so having not picked up a gun since xmas time  I decided to go and frighten some clay. Turned up at Treetops Sporting Ground at around 12pm and was pleased to find out I had the whole ground to myself which makes a nice change as I'm usually only able to get there on Saturdays and its usually very busy! Shot 100 birds and managed to hit most of them! Was going to cheat and put the skeet chokes in then decided to stick with 1/2 and 3/4 Spurred on by the fact I'd not managed to shame myself on clays, I decided to head straight up to the farm and have a mooch about for some squizzers. Got there, and armed with a pocket full of 32g 6s I headed towards the wood. Didnt see a single squirrel, but there were more pigeons there than I could shake a stick at    . Theres always the occasional woody flitting about when I'm there, but there were flocks of a few hundred birds going up and down the flight lines! I dragged a few branches, lopped down trees and scrub and tried to make a makeshift hide best as I could, but I'm pretty sure the pigeons could still see me a mile off . By keeping still until the very last second, I managed to bag 2 woodies and a jay (pathetic bag i know ) Tomorrow I'm going to head back up there with my stealth net that Santa bought me, adequate camo gear & face net, a bouncer that was gifted to me off Eccles on here and a handful of shell decoys. Watch this space!!

Wallachie
Sounds like a fantastic day out! I can't wait to get my FAC so I can pick up my Bettinsoli and head out on my own to toast a few clays or flying rats!
