What's a suitable load

Recommended Posts

I have an o/u with 27" barrels and 2 3/4 chambers. What's a suitable load for ducks and geese?

To late seasons over now. Any non high speed / high performance steel of suitable length IF you shoot through chokes no tighter than 1/2. Realy you are not going to be able to shoot any decent non toxic goose loads being limited by max shot size of around 3 and 4 - which are effectively duck loads! No.1 and over are generally goose loads but if you get close enough Duck loads do ok if you go for the head and neck only

Depends on how you shoot them. Over decoys, wingshooting, upland. I prefer different cartridges. I use cheap or average cartridges for upland and decoys but wingshooting cartridges must be best.

Meanwhile, want to see lead shot patterns of PWF shooters, hunters. Couldn't find. Are there somewhere here?
