Al69ec
I have an o/u with 27" barrels and 2 3/4 chambers. What's a suitable load for ducks and geese?
dan-250
Are your barrels steel proof ? Gamebore do some super steel carts #4 32g fairly cheap which I presume would be ok on ducks. Geese will be a different story tho.
kent
I have an o/u with 27" barrels and 2 3/4 chambers. What's a suitable load for ducks and geese? To late seasons over now. Any non high speed / high performance steel of suitable length IF you shoot through chokes no tighter than 1/2. Realy you are not going to be able to shoot any decent non toxic goose loads being limited by max shot size of around 3 and 4 - which are effectively duck loads! No.1 and over are generally goose loads but if you get close enough Duck loads do ok if you go for the head and neck only

Al69ec
Choke are fixed at 1/4 and 3/4. It will be inland duck shooting I will be doing (in season) and also some of my permission is having problems with Canada's coming on early morning on the feed. longgun
Depends on how you shoot them. Over decoys, wingshooting, upland. I prefer different cartridges. I use cheap or average cartridges for upland and decoys but wingshooting cartridges must be best. Meanwhile, want to see lead shot patterns of PWF shooters, hunters. Couldn't find. Are there somewhere here? Edited February 28, 2012 by longgun
