MilDot
Hi, Im a new to owning a shotgun but i have used shotguns before. I know nowt about the technical side of things hence my question... I have just purchased a Lanber and will be using it for both clay days and for pigeons but i dont know what carts to use! Would i be better off getting different carts for each type of shooting or would one type be perfectly good. What are the best carts for a ) pigeons? b ) clay shooting? and what are the rough prices for them. Many thanks
karl h
you should really use different loads prob a 6 shot 30gr for pigeon and 7 and a half shot 28 gr for clays. you normally find a heavy load is not needed for clays, but you do need something heavier for pigeons as you need more stopping power as for prices you will have to shop around mate. If you can buy in bulk do so it does pay off in the end.
Dunkield
'Piece of string' question really mildot, but I would say... 6's or 6.5's 32grams should do you but you can get 28/30/32/36 etc 7.5's or 8's in 28 gram should be fine, so like one some like the other Once you have found what you like (and can get them reliably and cheaply!) stick to them. Prices could be anything from about £90 to £150 /1000 depending on quality and where you buy, but average is about £110 /1000 or so these days..
