ferguson_tom
Hi My bitch springer pup every now and again smells very strongly of a metallic fishy smell from her rear end, it happens proabably once a week maybe a little bit more. It seems to happen all of a sudden then after we smell it she then seems to notice it and cleans herself then seems to go away. Is this a normal thing that stops as she gets older, or shall i get her down the vets, she is about 16 weeks old now. thanks, tom Edited February 28, 2012 by ferguson_tom

Rosebank22
my lab has the same thing happen occassionally, had the vet have a look and she said nothing to worry about. Like you said once your dog spots it finally!! they clean it up. we noticed it when we hadnt been to the beach and sent her into the sea for a while.
