Outlander
Have a good search on here and you will find all the info you need but there is no rush at that age. Best of luck with pup it is a long road but worth it in the end.
WGD
It is conditioning from now on but no pressure, eccles made a good post on another thread recently so a search will throw up some good stuff for you.
arwen3513
just start with the bonding, this is most important part if you have that you can train anything, i tend to teach them manners early on too, Sit, No, (stealing, jumping biting etc) and recall, also encourage the behavour you want carrying things and bringing them to you. but all fun fun fun jan
ferguson_tom
I got a springer pup just before xmas and all we do is recalls, sit with short stays, a few dummy retrieves but I dont do too much of anything at a young age or get to worried if she does things wrong. If she does things wrong just leave it for the day and try again tomorrow. The main thing is building a bond with your dog so all she wants to do is please you and work for you. By keeping it all a game they love to play still and make sure you are fun and exciting for the dog. I would suggest try and get to puppy classes just so she socialises all they should teach is basics there. You will probably find this as well, everytime i turn around my springer has something in her mouth and running around the house with it, whether be a rawhide, toy, a shoe, and 99% of the time one of my socks out of the washing basket. Do not tell her off for any of this as this is what you want her to be doing in the field, just call her over give her a big fuss and hold onto the thing she has eventually she will let go of it, at same time she lets go i say *give* and give her a fuss saying good give etc. But to answer your original question we will start properly training about 6 months, i would recommend the joe irvin books they are great for spaniels training.
