BrowningDJC
Ive had most of the browning autos and cant fault any of them! All are very well made, shoot well and very reliable.
Fib new
Depends on which A500 you mean; Browning made an A500g and an A500r -the g was gas operated and the r was recoil operated. They had some problems with the recoil-one (jamming aso), but the gas operated worked ok. Most of the Browning gas operated shotguns used the Same system except the most recent models. I use a gold semi auto for geese, pigeon, crow and duck which is almost the same
Fib new
Sorry, posted to soon.... ....as the A500g; never thought I would say this about an auto, but I love it. Shot all sorts of cartridges mixed through it, and never had a problem.
Fraz
Similar feedback as others, I owned a 500 AG FAC one for a couple of years - best described as 'handsome'! However very smooth action when cycling - never had any issues with it - be prepared to haggle and you should get at a good price as their appearence tends to put people off.
