I think BNP means its nitro proofed

The 3 1/4 is the maximum pressure for the barrel

2 3/4 chamber lenght as is the 70mm

The imp and mod are the chokes = improved cylinder and modified ( 1/2 choke)

there are far more knowledgeble people than me on here though who will be able to tell you the lot !!

on the left barrel;

.729 Bore diameter measurement in inches

BNP (with a crown above it) Birmingham proof mark I THINK

12(in a diamond shape ) 12 bore

2 3/4 Maximum cartridge length

3 1/4 Tons per Proof pressure I think in tons per inch

70m/m Maximum cartridge length

IMP Choke - improved something, cylinder?

12

NP Nitro proof?

SP (in a crown shape)

on the other barrel;

.729

BNP (with a crown above it)

12(in a diamond shape )

2 3/4

3 1/4 Tons per

70m/m

MOD Modified (half choke)

12

NP

SP (in a crown shape)

I (in a circle )

Maximum cartridge length is 70mm (2 3/4 inches).

I could be wrong on the chokes, or they could have been altered, so you can't be sure about them without measuring them or pattern testing them.
