HMR & Pulsar N550 couple of hours out.

Just taken on some new permission, so decided to get out there and do the rounds so to say,

after checking out the new land and backstops during the day decided to take the .17HMR & Pulsar n550 NV out for a few hours walk around that night.

seems that the rabbits are hitting one side of the barley fields more than the others....?

so got my self in a nice position at the edge of this field about 110rds from were the damage has been caused and waited for the rabbits to show them selves, Twenty mins later there were young rabbits playing everywhere, chasing around and being very playful with each other if such a thing.... :hmm:

after thinking why I was given this permission and the job I was there for, it was time to get rid of these pests. I could only watch for so long until I needed to pull the trigger on them.

I was very surprised that the noise from the HMR did not make the rabbits run for cover so for my two hours of being there (look around all new permission time too) I took 10 rabbits for 10 shots.

I'm very happy with my HMR and Pulsar n550 work very well for me.

thanks.

it looks a mean set up   . it looks like it sit's high is it comfy to use

Thanks for the kind comments... :good:

Yeah it does look a little high which appears to be a problem of fittment on this rifle.....

its sitting on a weaver rail, as it has to sit slightly high to be able to operate the bolt

which of course needs to be done if I want to shoot.

To be honest its very comfy for me and I have no issue with it, but you are spot on as saying it looks a little high.

its no more higher than my old simmons scope on high mounts (believe it or not) it just looks high.

Thanks again.

Nice shooting, well done :good: :good:

Cracking piece of kit,is it on the heavy side or not too bad?

If using it say for more than 3 hours carrying it about and using it to spot with then yes

its a little heavy to be honest.

the sling takes the weight of it when carrying it about of course, and to be honest I use the Harris Bi pod a lot of the time

or use my shooting sticks.

But as said if I use it to view up and down and along the hedge line and fields, after a while it gets heavy.

I'm a big strong Lad...

I'm now using a Sony camera with night vision and and extra IR to use as my spotter and then go to the rifle and Pulsar.

I'm very happy with the Pulsar and have shoot both rabbit and fox out to 150yrds with no problems of vision.

it works for me, some it does not... :look: But that's another story.

Thanks again for your comments gang.

lee.
