ging125
I bought some of these from my RFD, they seem to be very greasy. Should I give them a wipe or just straight into the gun? They also seem to richoet alot more than eleys. What your opinion on these?
Shotgun jimmy
I used to use lapua master m ammo in my 22ruger with volquartsen barrel and they where printing onehole groups at 50 yards. Unfortunatly I cant get them anymore but the grease is a moly grease and iI would leave it on the bullets. They are a match bullet and dont expand as quickly as a hollow point so this maybe why you are experiencing ricochets.
Dunkield
What your opinion on these? I <think> there are quite a few different types, I have used the solid points at the range and they are ridiculously accurate in my CZ, but I wouldn't use them for hunting though, I prefer Winchester subs. Yes they are greasy, and no I don't bother wiping the grease off.
Alycidon
I found no issue with the grease in a custom 22LR semi. But I did have issues with lack of expansion and consequently stopping ability. Had rabbits shot center chest just wander off as if missed then fall over 50 yards away. Did I mention cost as well ??, horrific. A
richard1951
Not cheap and no better than Eley Lapau come into there own in larger centerfire as they have more brass in case and reload more times .
ging125
they were the same price as eleys, think he was just trying to get rid of them! Will be back to eleys after, they are hollow point but lead to hard, not enough expansion and too many richocet and as alycidon says not enough stopping power and they are quite loud for subs!!! They are very accurate however! I would not recommend them to anyone for vermin control!!! Only problem now is I have 400 to get through!
