Chr15j
Always been intrigued by the untra due to its size and cocking mechanism. Ate they any good? secretagentmole
The cocking mechanism is a cocking up! Imagine this, couple of rabbits, sat 10 yards apart, fairly young so not much experience. Shoot one on the right, one on the left looks round and gets ready to run, anything with a side lever, side bolt or rear bolt, pull bolt reloaded. Ultra, press side switch, probe shoots out with horrendous clack. Push probe in (if single shot add slipping pellet into breech), then move non firing hand to front of stock to depress MMC, another click. Rabbit will either have bogged off or be rolling on the floor laughing! It is a simply stupid mechanism to try and use in the field. Great for range work, stupid for hunting, end of. It can lead to double loading very easily or cocking without loading. Just a useless piece of design that should be consigned to history. The Scorpion is a much better bet for your money! secretagentmole
If you are trading in the abomination that is Ultra for an S410 then do so with wild abandon or whoever else is present!
