chris1
I am interested in the 223 but what would you be your best price on it as it is a fairly old rifle and i think it has had a bit more use from new than your round count so may be this is 3rd hand + as it is over 20 years old. send me a pm regards
Flanker7
Hi Chris, Checked this for you. The rifle is around 7 years old, it was bought new and may have fired 120 rounds at the outside. I'm selling this for my brother who was for many years a highly trained professional marksman and did most of his shooting with official firearms and ammunition. This is his stalking rifle, it has been very well cared for and he didn't fire many rounds because he really never needed more that one shot. (I once saw him head shoot a rabbit from a standing postion at 130 paces) I think the asking price is pretty close to the real value of the rifle. However, I could send you his contact details if you like, he may negotiate with someone who he takes a liking to. You might want to take a slightly less confrontational starting postion mind you. Tommo
I agree Mung- The older Steyr's are the better ones. Anyone who knows anything about them will know that. Price is modest, which is why I'm trying to see if I can fund another one! T
Flanker7
Thanks Tommo, It hasn't had much interest though - do you think this price is reasonable?
