nice day out in the sun

went out on some new permission today down on the Herefordshire Wales border. big old hill farm. lots of crows about. me and a mate set a decoy magpie and crow out. at 200 yards. on the way over to the field we see some rabbits on a bank in the sun. so shot one with the 22/250 for bait.

now this rabbit looked tiny and i turned the zeiss scope up a little checked the range and then used one mildot for hold over. flattened the rabbit with a nice clean kill. checked again to see if any more was about. 330 yards.

anyway we put it out and got some crow and magpie interest but they wouldn't land to offer a shot. we sat on the hillside above hoping to put pay to the bloody things they need thinning out.

should make some great foxing ground in the coming month on the lamp. we did try the foxpro firestom to see if we could get one out the surrounding land covered in woods and gorse. but just wasn't to be.

sill a nice day to spend in the fresh air with a friend. relaxing in the sunshine.
