captainhastings
Is it ok too apply gun oil on the part of the mechanism the firing pin comes out of. The reason I ask is on the two outings I have had with the gun so far once on each occasion I have just had a dull click and the gun did not go off. I change cartridge and is ok. It is a used single barrel baikal just hoping if is ok as I wouldn't want too have too spend money on it at the moment
bedwards1966
Guns can require lubrication like anything else mechanical - were the cartridge primers unmarked after hearing the click? Unless you're able to take it all apart, clean it and apply grease sparingly you can add some oil - not much though - then leave it to drain away from the stock, as it won't do the wood any good. It might be all that's needed, failing that it could end up as a job for a gunsmith.

I will apply a little oil and see if helps
