turbo33
This January was the best I've had since 1975 and February not far behind but March was very average and April and May terrible. There are no birds to be seen flying anywhere and none of the early peas have been touched at all. Talked to the Birds Eye field man and he says it's the same south of the Humber. Each year seems to get more all or nothing in respect of pigeons but as someone said it's surprising how you end up with same amount to within a few hundred each time. I'm still of the view they are busy making little pigeons And as said on a previous post, trees are well behind, so I am sure they are picking the buds without having to go far from the nest...hence leaving peas etc alone. Reports coming in of young birds being picked up on crops, so I still feel it will all come very good later Edited May 22, 2012 by turbo33

The few birds Iv shot recently have been full of berries or the majority, clover.
