kaostheory
Hi All, To scratch my own itch I am looking at writing an iPhone/Android app for Airgun shooting. Essentially the same type of thing as chairgun: You enter pellet weight in g or gr or select from a pre-populated list of the most popular pellets, fps or m/s which combined will give you the ft/lb of your rifle. Additionally be able to select a distance and see what ft/lb will still be present at that range. Save Airgun/Pellet profiles. Calculate hold-over/under at different ranges based on the zero you enter. Display optimum zero based on you initial pellet weight/fps metrics. OPTIONAL: Online community with option to upload your rifle profile and compare against other peoples metrics. ( could be useful to gauge wether your rifle is underpowered etc ) Does anyone have any other ideas for features? I will be writing this over the next week or so. Billy.
Take a look at 'Ballistic' and you'll see how much coding you'll have to do. Personally I'd pay for that App, supply all the ballistic info to the guy (Jake I think his name is) and he'll include it in the next update. Taz72
Strelok or Airgunhelper are both available on Android for all us non-Iphone owners. The latter is closer to Chairgun in its display, including a nice POI graph a la Chairgun, and does pretty much all of what you mention.
