ferretfiddler
To clean or not to clean that is the question ! I know I,m probably covering old ground, but I have a new .22 t bolt & a new CZ452 American .17hmr, do I clean out the barrels on each after every time out shooting them or leave them to get "leaded" No rants & raves please, I'm married to the screaming skull as it is ! ! ! :yp: :yp:
bedwards1966
A search on here will reveal several threads on this. The .22lr doesn't really need cleaning, many people find them to be less accurate after a clean, so unless you are doing very accurate target shooting which might be a little different, just leave it. As to the .17HMR, some clean them, some don't. Personally I'd think it best to clean them on a regular basis, but experiences vary, and some find that they never really need cleaning. telf
i clean both after every outing the hmr is a very dirty round ,the 22 not really but i do it anyway,i used to use just patches and solvent on the hmr but after a conversation and some instruction with another member i started using a bronze brush as well and the amount of cr&p that comes out is unbelievable,as has been said lots of different opinions on the matter its up to you but whatever you do make sure you clean the mod atb dave
