Thunderbird Posted June 12, 2012 Report Share Posted June 12, 2012 I know we all love our bacon sarnies and full Englishs but After Ack-Ack's cholesterol thread I thought I would post this recipe for granola. I got well sick of eating porridge as part of my cholesterol lowering regime and this makes a nice change. 400g rolled oats 100g mixed seeds 50g broken walnuts Handful of desiccated coconut 3 tbsp runny honey 3 tbsp olive oil 150g raisins Pre heat oven to 180. Mix everything apart from raisins in a bowl and put in baking tray. Cook for 30 mins stirring approx every 10 mins. Add raisins while still hot. Seal in a kilner jar when cool. Enjoy with cold milk.
