Al69ec
Now then guys, I bought a bottle of liquid blue to tidy my barrels up a bit, now it says to fully emmerse barrels in a trough for a few minutes then rinse them off with water. Question is will it affect the Crome lining? Could I not just apply it with cotton wool instead?
hedd-wyn
I've seen it been done before, and they used wooden stoppers to block off the barrel same idea as a cork really.
dougall
those little bottles are really for touch up NOT for whole barrels. A proper reblack(or re-blue) by a decent gunsmith £80-150 depending where you are based...will save yourself from getting covered in c%^p and look 10 x better. If you have a gun move anything I would hesitate before diving into the black art of barrel blacking...
