Tyre sizes?

Just checked the tyres on my daughters car,the four fitted are 195/50/R15

 

HOWEVER THE SPARE IS 175/65/R14?

 

is this okay to use?(as a spare) or do i need to change it for 195/50/R15

As long as the circumference is the same as the other wheels, its perfectly legal.

 

Just like alot of new cars, you get one of those ''get you home gimp wheels'' instead of a proper wheel, so to speak.

Just had a look on tyre calculator

 

they reccommend a max of +/- 2.5% difference

 

so that would give the spare a 1.22% difference in diameter

actual diameter change of 7mm

 

so i reckon it should be okay BB

if its round ,full of air and fits that's good enough better than walking tell her lol or get her on bus

Any wheel is better than a tub of tire weld and a air pump..... like on ford or a plastic insert in the wheel like bmw use...............

Aint that true mate my old man bought a new ford,went straight down the scrappy for a full size spare BB
