Puggers
This is probably a question more for the target shooter to accommodate scopes although I suspect there are other disciplines views out there but it stems from me clearing up my gear earlier today where I find I have 4 slips and 2 hard cases which I use to varying degrees. Do other members still feel there's a market out there for cases as they seem more unwieldly, don't often fit neatly in the boot of the car and can often look like you're off on your hols as you can't sling them over your back. I guess the obvious benefit is they offer a little more protection than standard slips but I'm toying with whether to keep mine anymore. If so, who prefers ABS over aluminium as again, I have one of each?
kent
There is no substitute for a hard case when gear is packed into the boot. For extra security it can also be hidden at the bottom. air travel? essential. rough tracks? ideal. For carrying any distance in the field? pathetic. I must have a dozen cases slips, drag bags etc, they all have thier uses
