stiggy84arsenal Posted July 17, 2012 Report Share Posted July 17, 2012 1.. new permission 2..first 100 birds 3... first moaner running a cross the field shouting abuse!!! me and my shooting buddy went and asked a farmer if we could start shooting his land 2 mins from my house he was happy to let us and he gave us a map of all the fields and boundrys, he took r name and numbers and said crack on,,, first field and birds every where (i had been watching for weeks so i knew they where using it) the weather had really flattened the barley and the birds have really built up,, off we trott with all the gear towards the point on the other side of the field,, we get started,,, nice hide with wind on our backs,, flapper & magnet 20 or so decoys out,, we were blasting away got to about 15 birds down in the hour, happy days then it got hetic and we really were getting hot barrels,, then this blady old lady come's out shouting u cant be here ''la la la'' so up sticks and move to the other side of the feild out the way,, not ideal cos of the wires crossing but the pigeon just kept coming, we hit 48 and run out of carts my mate popped home whilst i cleaned the pattern up,, once hes back the birds r still every where and we start again counting up in 10s, 3oclock was the 60 mark and finally 100 was down at 6 just as the rain starts we should have shot 150/200 but i was well off target on most but my mate had a few pairs and i nicked a couple of his pairs buy shooting his second before him we both missed sitters and we both hit some long high birds we cant wait to get back out there,, there was probally another 200 birds still feeding and flying about as we left THANK U MR FARMER!!! you have two very happy shooters,,, i flippin love it Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

deny essex Posted July 18, 2012 Report Share Posted July 18, 2012 Nice going both I may be reading it wrong but you knicked a couple of your partners 2nd barrel shots, not a wise thing to do if both in the same hide , going up at the same time and at the same bird the possibility of an accident during the heat of hectic decoying is high.
