northernneil
Shotgun only, but do I need to let firearms officer know or is written/verbal permission enough?
Thunderbird
No you don't need to let the FEO know, and written permission from the landowner is better, but not legally essential.
northernneil
That's what I thought but always better to double check. Thank you mate. :-)
Thunderbird
That's OK, hope you enjoy your new permission. What quarry is about, pigeons? Vermin?
BerettaSV10
Noticed what some have done as well is have a map showing, showing the area their permision covers. Probally all helps if any one queries you about you shooting on the land, that you the permission letter and map/s.
northernneil
I only just got the ok about an hour ago, it's looking like its mainly rabbits, but as I'm SGC only at the mo, it could be a way into fac for me. Just gonna print out a map of his land now, make sure it's all clearly understood. Quite lucky really, I've only spent 2 days driving about and looking. Could be worthless, who knows! Thunderbird
Look after it and you never know. Farmers know farmers etc etc. Best of luck with it.
ste12b
When you print your map, make sure you include public areas i.e. footpaths or open land. It helps if you have people walking accross an area, you can assist them onto the correct path.
