jamesneale89
Jut wondering if anybody has experienced a fault like this on a Nissan xtrail 03 2.2di , it's an ESP fault that makes the ESP off light and traction control indicator lights come on and makes the engine go Ito limp mode but only happens between 60-75mph whilst staying at one set speed , car jerks as if it's hesitating ? Any thoughts?? Please don't say fuel filter as this was changed last week and it's doing my head in!! And in the owners manual it's says these lights indicate a malfunction in the ESP system had 3 diff garages look at it with diagnostics and thy don't have a clue
mickh
if this happens as you say at a constant speed i would have the wheel speed sensors checked. a garage with the correct diagnostic tool will easily be able check this during a road test. 88b
I've seen two vehicles with the ESP light on that turned out to be a tracking alignment problem, no faults showed up when the diagnostics were checked.
