I have the two litre petrol on a 03 plate and apart from general servicing in the eight years of ownership all I've had to do to it was a rear wheel bearing. As for fuel consumption it's quite acceptable at around 25-30 mpg around th doors (that's me driving not the wife). I did manage to do Devon Coast(west bay ) to Newcastle on one tank of fuel. The only reason I have kept it this long is i would only be replacing it for another. I cannot recommend them enough.

It is up to the owner to display a valid ticket which he may have inbetween all the other tickets but because its not immediately visable then its a ticket and the owner will have to fight it.

Seals should be available from Vauxhall or any independent air con specialist. Fit seals dry with no lubrication and when you get it re-gassed make sure they vacuum the system for at least 10 minutes then hold it for the same time to check for any leaks. Mick

You can knock top gear but it is what it is, a light entertainment show. Yes Clarkson is full of himself but he has always has been right when he started on original TG. I for one still enjoy watching the show and take it for what it is fact and more likely fiction.

So do I normally but I've taken a holiday Friday so have a long weekend. Will be seeing friends either sunday or Monday don't know which yet.

The new shoes will need bedding in and time to adjust themselves up. You will have to give the car a run and when the road is quiet try doing a few emergency stops. This should bring the pedal back up.

Don't know about maximum overall weight but my x-trails tow bar has a maximum nose weight of 100kg. Most cars are only 80kg.
