Salop Matt
Earlier this year/late last year there was an episode of FSB where Roy Lupton was out foxing and he did a bit of a disection on a fox with an orange handled knife ! The knife looked very well made and ideal for shooting/hunting type work.....Seemed to the foxes ribs easy enough to. So my question is what knife was it ? Is it a EKA ? And has anyone got an EKA, if so what do you think of it ? ATB Matt
rimfire4969
EKA knives are good quality Swedish brand, the Swingblade has proved very popular and does come with a orange handle. Sorry Edit: I should say i have not seen the film, but they do not produce that many Orange handled knifes and the Swingblade seems to be the most popular. Salop Matt
Sorry my mistake, it was actually Oliver Power from Norma ammo not Roy Lupton. The FSB episode was on the 7/12/11 titled: Roy Luptons new chapuis double rifle & what bullets do to foxes (23:40 onwards) Having watched it again am sure its an EKA knife. rimfire4969
I am sure that it is the Swingblade. Have a look at the link below. http://www.heinnie.c...p-134-984-5708/
Gimlet
I've got an EKA swingblade. Very well made and finished, well balanced and nice to use. Not impressed with edge retension though and the pivot point is hard to clean. Good skinning knife in the larder. Unzipper great for skinning legs. Stopped using it for gralloching and general field work in favour of a Boker. Better edge retension for same money.
