I have been reading on various websites that to sell game to restaurants, pubs etc you are required to have a hunters ID and a certificate of wild game meat handling. I can't seem to find any definitive answers everything seems to contradict the other. I also cannot find any courses in NI like what are available in the rest of the UK. Can anybody shed any light on this?

Regards

See this is where my confusion is, BASC state all game licenses have been abolished allowing the sale of game, then they say you must have a trained hunters ID to sell game. What is wrong with simplicity and transparency!

I think it was the game license to shoot game (the one from the post office) that was done away with. There is certainly nothing in the firearms legislation that states you must have a trained hunters ID, not something I think is in the wildlife act either. The only new legislation that might cover it (that i'm aware of) is the Criminal Justice act, but other than ages for shooting and one on one offs extended, I don't recall any game related articles slotted into it.
