mr williamson
iv recently has a pop at these rooks by means of decoying. i decoy crows at least once a week so id say im pretty clued up on how to set up, BUT!! these rooks are having none of it. they come in but in a flock of maybe 50. so i dont fire because that would let 48birds know not to come back or they could posibly join there 2 pals from before right? well i didnt fire and did not move an inch as they were flyhing round the hide having a chat to eachother. how can i stop this happening i understand for success you need small but steady visits not 50 at a time arrrrgg help!!! the rookery is a couple of feilds away on the other side of the farm. do i nead to get completely out of sight of this? i usualy try to but they have a good veiw of me approaching the farm and setting off to sett up. im stuck here guys and nead these thinning as there is a hell of alot of em. i have all the decoying gear available but cant fool these. redtailhawk1
I have the same problem. I use ladder trap, rifle on rookery. And if you fire the 12g through the rookery they will move on, not the best option but the farmer thinks you have done a good job lol.
