AlistairB
After a bit of advice folks, my three and a half year old Lab bitch has just come into season and has become an utter cow. For the rest of the year, she and her sister are quite content in their run all day, no noise, no fuss, no bother. Tuesday morning i managed to catch her before she could climb out of the run (six and a half foot high reinforced fences all round it, roof, stock fencing over the gaps etc). Yesterday morning, i got to work at about 8.45 and was back home by 9.45 collecting them from the neighbours 4 houses down and then going round and cleaning up the gardens between and adding 1" square welded mesh to the roof where she had pushed the stock fence aside. This morning, my other neighbour phoned to say they were being very noisy, but had gone quiet so she though they had got out again! She let herself into the garden and fortunately, the welded mesh had done its job and they were still there! So has anyone got any old wives tales that might calm the psychotic mare down? The vet can’t do anything or give her anything, unless he spays her and he can’t do that because she's in season! Cheers AB PS I have very understanding neighbours!
