wymberley
Guys, Be careful. I had one of these modules fitted when I got the Ranger a while back. I had no idea what the MPG was beforehand but figured as I was actually getting what Ford said I would it must be working. Is the Sunday Mirror motoring chappie Quenton Wilson? - I think that's him - he's always singing their praises. Ever since I've always had a bit of a problem with an amber warning light in the shape of an engine coming on occasionally. This is not in the vehicle handbook - the injector heater coil symbol apparently doubles up a an engine fault indicator. Neither the local Ford car or the commercial vehicle dealers knew what it was telling me. I've now disconnected the unit and done a fuel consumption check. The light no longer comes on and my fuel consumption has improved by 12.5%. As the truck is common rail diesel, I was told it could be trimmed to meet my requirement - power or economy. I asked for the latter. With the price of fuel on the way up again, I don't know whether to laugh or cry!
