-Mongrel-
Condition mainly I'd say, is it rust free, are the metal parts in good condition and the finish not wearing through? Is the wood dent and scratch free and in good condition? Has it been serviced and if so how long ago? Does it shoot straight? If possible get it chrono'd, is it making the right sort of power (around 11.5ft/lb)? After that I'd be looking at what accessories you can work into the deal. Cost wise, I suppose around £300 for the gun alone in good condition, maybe £100 more with scope, sling/bipod and pump, a bit more again if it comes with dive bottle and filling kit. £200 or less for a tatty gun. bakerboy
I have just purchased an AAS410 Carbine with scope , 10 shot magazine automated,( by the bolt action). The wood does not have a mark on it and the mechanics look really good, it also came with a single pellet loader and 2,500 pellets. The scope has red / green cross hairs battery powered, and is a 3-90x50 etched mil-dot A0 illuminated. A whole new world to me for two new permissions (rabbits). Testing at an air rifle range tomorrow. Guess the price you could make my day or ruin it
Robl
I'd guess around £400 for the lot. (assuming a silencer on it too)
bullet boy
If its in good condition i would say no more than £350 for the rifle especially if its 10 year old.
brett1985
if it was me, i would expect to pay no more than 300 - 350 for the rifle on its own, depending on condition. you should be finding out when the rifle was last sercviced, and more importantly, when the cylinder was last inspected... personally, something that i wouldn't let anyone but air arms do.... its not a huge problem if its not been inspected, as a new cylinder is only about 40 quid and they are **** easy to change. but it doe's give you a bargaining tool. if the rifle is ten years old, i would be looking at changing that cylinder anyway.... just to be on the safe side. and if its ten years old, i would strongly suggest getting in chrono'd before handing any money over as at that age, its pre anti-tamper so easily adjustable.... i got a 6 year old s410 last year that had the barrell blocked, and a little rust on the cylinder. paid £250 for it and it came with bag, scope and silencer. took 10 minutes to unblock the barrell. bargain!
