North American Elk - Tranquilised and De-Antlered.

Not exactly a shooting video but an important part of deer management. This North American Elk which had a really good rack had to be de-antlered as the fields it runs in with a herd of females also has a yearling stag in it and we did not want the chance of it fighting with and quite likely seriously injuring or even killing the yearling during the rut as he is a very big and powerful beast.

The chap that I shot the video for is a deer management expert and a very good friend who I go culling with. He has taught me a lot about deer management and this "experience" has added to my knowledge.

Hopefully some of you will find this as interesting as I did.

Pete, this its one of those video that its just fantastic and a great experience to watch, the moment that thestag jumps up its just touching and nice to see it went all ok, there was a video a few days ago about a well known chap that culled a wild stag that managed to jump the fencing with adomesticated deers in, this video highlights how different is adomesticated animals to wild, hence the other wild stag had to be culled.

Really apreciated.

Thanks
