scubadog
Hi Firstly I should introduce myself. I am new to the forum and to the world of reloading. I have been doing lots of reading on this forum and acrross the internet - thanks to evrey one so far. I am in the process of putting my 1st order together for the materials required for my first reloads. I am looking to load some heavy lead loads circa 42 grams. Some light steel loads circa 32 grams and some standard game lead loads circa 32-36 grams. I am trying to think a head a bit and order the materials based on some recipieds that I have found that will allow me to order as fewdifferent items as possible. I have found that the Vectan A1 would suit me idealy for the game loads. I have found some great recipies using the Nobel Tecna that will allow me to load the heavy lead and light steel loads, but cannot find any one that stocks it. Can some one recomend another powder or recipie that can cover the heavy lead and ;light steel loads? Or alternativley any other recipies from other powder types that can help me out in order to reduce the amount of kit I have to buy and have lying around. Thanks
sitsinhedges
I thought tecna did lead loads down to about 32gram and peter lawman lists it on his website

Guest cookoff013
without sounding too silly, you have in your list, 3 loads that need either specialist powders or specialist wads... not much overlaps. you are right that tecna-n does have a huge range and could do 42g lead, 36g lead, and sub 1oz steel. as for standard lead loads A1 is a good choice. i`m sad to say you probly end up buying components for individual recipes. i cannot state this enough, purchase the components that the recipe / manufacturer states. never deviate from the recipe. it would be more economical to not fire 42g loads and just use 36g loads in that application. apart from that, good luck.
