Rimfireboy
Went out with the anschutz .22 this afternoon. Just a quick zero check put three subs into a thumbnail sized hole at fifty yards, so spot on. First squirrel presented itself in a clearing at about seventy yards, stood up on it's hinds looking at me, squeezed off the shot and missed. Well, in the next field I could see another squirrel bobbing about in the grass. Got a bead on this one and hit him square on, sent him into a backward somersault into some brambles so I couldn't retrieve that one. Just moved on round the corner and another one bobbing about in the ruts and tufts of grass. I was watching him through the scope, waiting for him to present a shot when another one popped into view. Shot him through the shoulders at about sixty yards. The other one scarpered and after a five minute wait the rain started so that was that. Anyway, looks like there's plenty more to have a go at next time.

Reece
Good work. They'll be foraging at this time of year, so if you want to get more, try areas with nut bearing trees such as oak, hazel, beech, etc. Also, be sure to add your kills to the pigeon watch grey squirrel kill count for 2012.
