bigrob
I've been using sako in .243 100 grain and yesterday I bought a box of Federal 100grain rounds. Almost immeadiately I noticed the the Federal round is pushed 4mm further into the case. I weighed them both and they are identical at 21grms. Is this normal - do different makers press the bullet head into the case to different lengths.Bigrob. .

kent
they are all designed safe in a facory spec chamber. Diffent bullets have different shapes, i think the Sako ones are Nosler partitions a very good choice for lager deer without too much wasted meat. Sako are great brass BTW save it
bigrob
I suppose what I am really trying to find out is - If it says 100 grain on the box is thit the size and weight of the projectile?
