kcj2102
Hi Guys, I was watching the BBC news this morning and a story came on about lead shots "poisoning UK birds" and going on to say they cause of around 10% of deaths in wild birds. Is this the "anti's" trying to ban lead shot altogether?, if so what is going to be the alternative?. Or is it that people are still using lead shot illegally and it is a genuine problem??? What's everyones thought on the subject?

kcj2102
They say their findings are from 1971 to 2010 but the laws on shooting with lead shot weren't changed until 1999-2009 depending on where you are in the UK. Are they twisting the figures to suit their beliefs. And trying the shock factor to ban lead completely?

anser2
Kc are you a new forum member? The whole forum has been buzzing on this topic for the last year. As you are posting in the wildfowling section I take it you have not been using lead for wildfowl recently. ST3V3
considering the amount of pigeons members on here shoot 10% of all wild birds that die of lead poisoning seems a little low
