secretagentmole
Or are pigeons bigger this year? Shot 3 wood pigeons today, the smallest one cleaned and oven ready is 12 ounces! The two biggest pigeons were wolfing beans down!

secretagentmole
Mine were not on the bird tables, these had been raiding some farmers bean field, crops absolutely stuffed full of damned beans, some farmer is half an acre of beans lighter, there were about 40 birds in this flock! jackinbox99
Yep, definately noticed they seem bigger this year. Must have had a good year feeding or something! Although on the news they said it was the worst year in a long time for farmers crops due to the wet weather.
secretagentmole
Interesting aside, when they were cooked they had 2 colours of meat on the breast, a like white and the more traditional dark meat!
