Hi i am thinking of buying a pulsar challenger to fit to one of my Scopes.

Does anyone near Ipswich Suffolk have one which they wouldn't mind showing me?

I keep looking and looking at them but i don't want to waste my money if its not suitable for me.

Most my shooting is around 100 yard head shots with 17 hmr. And i usually zoom in quite far for an accurate shot.

If anyone could help i would be really grateful. Cheers Steve.

sadly I can't help but have experience of another add on, things that will affect performance are your scope choice and the form of added IR you use. If you have a really good source of IR then you will probably find it works fine with one of the cheaper scopes. Thats no inference on your scope but the cheaper ones have coatings that don't seem to affect the IR transmission as much as expensive scopes.

Zoom wise that may be where you have an issue the more you zoom the less light comes through

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes the zoom is the main thing I'm concerned with. I have read they are fine for long distance with the right illuminator but nothing is mentioned about zoom levels.

Ideally i want to get head shoot rabbits out to 100 yards.

i might find i don't need as much mag as i currently use with night vision due to being able to see whole head, but until i can see what its like i will have no idea.

hi i use the pulsar with dsa and laser illuminator on both .22 and 17 hmr .with .22 on cheap hawke scope good out to 85yards on hmr with nighteater 4x24x56 scope ive head shot rabbits at 150 yds + at night but find it poor when taking shots at 50 yds due to high magnification hope that makes sense,i also have 170 lightforce with ir lens on that does out to 400yds.
