Birdboy
Hi Went out lamping last night and had a few problems with the lamp set up, with an intermittent lamp. Set up is a Lightforce 170, with a Deben twim battery pack (2 x 9v) giving 18ah - 100w bulb. The inline fuse holder says to replace with 15amp fuses. Looked a the batteries when i came home and it would appear that both the inline fuses have melted a little bit at the bottom where th wire comes into the unit. Looked on the net last night at various sites, and lots of people say scrap the inline fuses and wire direct to the battery ?? Do you think this is a good idea ? Also, whats causing it to melt in the first place ? Thanks BB
al4x
mine are direct these days what seems to happen is if you have a poor connection you get a lot of heat generated and things just melt,

Whats the worst that can happen wired direct - blow the bulbs ? BB
