colin lad
Thanks for the sensible comments, much appreciated, some good points taken on. i spose what is really doing my head in is the over excitement with her and when she gets like that, peeing herself all the time, any tips on a remedy on that. i can be sat on the sofa with her by my feet, no other dogs about, and stroke her and she will wet herself etc this is my third dog that ive trained, ive two sprocker bitches, and i never had this trouble with them as for your statement, i think is rude, you dont know me from adam, you dont know what research i have done, whether this is my first dog etc so next time keep it to yourself, thank you why ask for peoples opinions on here then when they give it tell them to keep it to themselves? mine is 7 years old and he still wets when he gets excited now and then colin
Paul T
My 4 month old cocker is as mad as a box of frogs . It's just how spaniels are. She'll sit, down, stay, come to call and do a little retrieving but she hasn't learned 'calm it' yet . Personally, I can't wait to channel all that energy into some real field work, but she needs another 6 months before I start anything. My dogs spend most of the time out, but are allowed some 'quiet time' in the lounge on an evening. It helps a lot to get them into a routine so they know there's a time when it's appropriate to be excited and a time when they need to calm down. Mine get 15-20 mins mad play in the garden with me at 7.30, they are fed at 8pm in the kitchen, let out about 8.30 for 'necessaries' and in the house for 2 hours at 9pm before bed. It's a set routine every evening and it does help. Good luck with yours mate
