castletyne Posted November 22, 2012 Report Share Posted November 22, 2012 The heaters in my vw crafter are blowing warm they will not get hot There is a heater valve at the back of the engine with water pipes attached. I disconnected one of these pipes a few months back by mistake and a bit of water came out I'm thinking i now have an air lock but does anyone know how to bleed the water system on one of these vans Cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
mickh Posted November 22, 2012 Report Share Posted November 22, 2012 was it an electrical valve?. If so first check all fuses if all ok check electrical connections on the valve. Also trace the smaller water pipes and you will find a small electric water pump somewhere on the bulk head. Start the engine turn the heaters onto hot and check the pump is rotating you can do this by simply touching the pump.
