Reece
I'm given to understand that if you sell game meat to a butcher or game dealer, you need a license or something. What is the law on this? And does it only apply if you sell it - are you exempt from it if you just give the meat to them (such as if you have stuff left over)? Reece
Just checked the BASC website and found a leaflet. Apparently, if I/we give surplus amount of my/our game away whilst still in fur or feather, you do not need to be a trained hunter, but are required to demonstrate safe food practices. But I don't know what this means exactly. Edited December 8, 2012 by Reece
