Just a thought but has anyone thought about swapping days with each other? I'm sure we all have shooting and fishing that someone from another area would love to have a go at and visa versus, it's just a thought would like to know what you guys think? Thar

Hi Thar, nice idea , but in reality many shooters guard their permission's, worried others will try to 'poach' once they know where the land is, or simply do not wish to risk inviting another shooter who may turn out to be dangerous or irresponsible.

Location is the other problem, here in Norfolk there are not so many shooters around , many farms prefer a few driven 'game' days, rather than having crop protection on a regular basis,

less than a mile from here there are several rape fields almost bare from pigeon damage, yet the farmers will not allow shooting in case you disturb a few pheasants,

I only have a very small field where I can shoot and only see a few pigeons and rabbits to go at, so I keep busy by shooting clays as often as I can.

If I had larger areas to shoot over I would like some company and also to encourage new people to get started, I spend several hours a week visiting farmers and keepers to try to win respect and eventually permission, but its a long hard road,

if you have a good area to shoot why not just invite local shooters out for the day and see what develops, best of luck .
