Mr Rizzini
Can deactivated guns just be posted anywhere or does a dealer have to have them imported to him first?
Chris Bb
Can deactivated guns just be posted anywhere or does a dealer have to have them imported to him first? As far as I'm aware, once deactivated with a certificate they're regarded as lumps of metal. Don't know wheher that applies the same in NI. clayman
Got several - £95 for a rook gun etc up to £300 for nice hammer s/s Damascus with a range in between. It costs £42 for a de-ac cert from proof hs ( min fee), plus about £20 carriage e/w, plus the gun, plus the work - so £100 is about entry level for anything fully de-ac with cert. They can be posted ordinary services as no longer classified as a dangerous weapon, just lumps of metal now. Greatbloke's s/s is about as cheap as they come, assume its a box-lock s/s for that price, anything with hammers, interesting finishing, Damascus etc to make a pretty display will be more. Really fine de-acs can run to several £100.
