Longy0710
Gents I am very new to wildfowling and am really keen to give it a go. My question is this, I live very local to a country park which houses 4 huge lakes that are home to all manner of UK legal wildfowl. If I was to get permission would it be legal to shoot the Wildfowl on this area. Same question also goes for a reservoir fishery I know the owner of. Lots of geese and duck on there but do not want to ask for permission and look stupid. I have no intention of asking either place currently as I do not know all the facts,BUT if it was legal and ok I have an in with both areas. Let me know A curious Longy
tlennox
The resevoir sounds the better bet, but I wouldn't be targeting the water as i'd try and not disturb geese on the roost. Target the farmland around the resevoir where large numbers of geese will do lots of damage. Country park seems like place where they would be wanting to attract birds to keep visitors happy for other reasons than shooting but you don't know till you ask. Good luck
Longy0710
Fair comment. Like I say i am not about to jump in and make a fool of myself (happens all too often anyway). Agree completely wotj the country park, ill leave well alone but the reservoir is surrounded by farmland so will try there first.

henry d
Spend a bit of time watching where the fowl go and if they are doing damage, greys/pinks will start (will have started) on the grass by now and livestock farmers will possibly need a hand keeping them off. Not sure about the likes/dislikes of canadas as we don`t have many here.
