Yorkshire Pudding
ey up. Never used lofting poles meself as i always use a ball of string over a branch and pull a FULL BODYED decoy up . If your looking for some really good decoys try looking on the pages here or do a search on decoying ..etc . If time permits i usually loft 2 or 3 deakos in the trees. all the best yis yp

deny essex
If you have never used lofting poles dont try them on too windy a day alone , less you wanna look like a circus act would have made a few bob from jeremy beadle if i had been videoed some days and full bodied deeks hurt when they hit you on the noggin from 25 feet . they can be the most awkward things to use alone, an easier way of lofting birds is an old fishing fixed spool reel with 25lb fishing line taped to a stick for in the ground, a 1 ounce fishing bullet lead and fire the lead over the brach with a catapult, can get far higher than lofting poles , connect full bodied deeks up to 4 is about tops and pull them up from the lead end and tie off the lead , with practise this can be done fairly quickly and with a little jiggleing can get them into the wind, a small twig stuffed in the hole in the bottom of the deek allows for a little "dressing" if birds are between branches , i have found they work on most days to some degree or other after the leaves have fallen as a distance attractor. have fun and results
