hi all

ive been looking for some permission for the last year for some pigeon shooting,

i live in south wales but my work is all over gloucester ,i cut trees from around the power lines so i visit a lot of farms and every farmer seems to have someone taking care of the pigeons for him ive even got our surveyers asking now . i know im not going to get any decent pigeon shooting close to home as theres not alot of crops around my area and i dont mind travelling . i havnt done alot of decoying and would love to just get some permission to start , i dont mind paying a fee for shooting or suplying transport but all these great offers on this forum seem to be 3 hours away any help or advice would be great

thanks neil

i am trying my hardest , and to be honest the farmers have been great to talk to and its just they have got their regular guys and thats fair enough, i dont expect the farmer to give me permission if someone els e who's local already shoots there i just keep trying in hope that one day il hit the jack pot lol .

Hi Neil,

Im after land to shoot pigeons on mate, if I get some then you are welcome to join me as im after someone with decoying experience to show me the ropes.

Hopefully wont be too long before I get some as I seem to have a nack of gaining permissions. That's the sad part of living in our area as the vast majority of the farms are cattle not rape, altho saying that one of my permissions did plant a field of rape earlier this year but only informed me of it after it had been hammered by the flying rats.

Hi Neil, just over the hill then mate (Deri boy originally).

I shoot a lot of clays all over the place SW2000/Mid Wales etc, Normally shoot skeet but when there is not a competition on then there is a 50 bird sporting shoot up in Merthyr which I try and get to, its every Sunday and they are a good bunch of lads.

Normally shoot about 200 clays a week but love getting out into the fields when the chance arises, need NV for the hmr now tho, as by the time I get home from work its bloody dark.
