SakoQuad
"when i say good place i mean good prices and wide range of choice" Don't think there is anywhere that meets that definition to be honest but if you find a place do PLEASE let the rest of us know. The places that might get closest (not saying an awful lot) are 1. The Countryman at the bottom of Westgate Street. Get a price from Just Cartridges and see if Tim will match or better it. He at least is a really nice guy! 2. Ian Coleys who pitches his prices slightly lower than Just Cartridges and who usually has some sort of selection. They tend not to be interested in any form of "dickering" though unless you are talking big numbers. 3. Just Cartridges who have quite a big selection (and whose prices are used as a yard stick around the town). Their delivery is steep unless you order 10k but if you get a group together this can be easily done. if you are ever near Oxford of course you can always pick them up yourself. A friend does just that but ended up paying more than he wanted last week as he had run out of his favourite cartrige, and so had JC - moral learned was ring and check first if you are after something specific!! Good luck - and I am serious about letting us know if you find a good price and choice nearer than Oxford!

Only really use Ian Coleys and Bredon Hill Shooting for cartridges in this area and prices are a tad steep.

solz
hey i did pop into the countryman today, picked up a box of gamebore clear pigeon 32g 6 shot fibre for around £59 (which is the same as justcartridges give or take a few pence) never been into the shop before but went in there they got a range of gamebore, hull and fob cartridges few guns and clothes ect overall nice shop, as for price on cartridges i imagine i could get them cheaper some where but as its so local i would most likely go back there
SakoQuad
Glad you were able to get something reasonable! Tim is a nice guy and the shop is always an interesting place to visit. There is nowhere else I know of around the city and if you start to travel any distance the cost of fuel starts to push the overall cost up anyway! I am often at or passing Coleys so that is somewhere else for me and they sometimes have offers that are very reasonable. Happy shooting!
