anser2
In autumn geese often flight in to feed on a field at sunrise and again in late afternoon , but in winter when the days are short its more likely they will feed all day in the field. You need to arrive before the birds , so at this time of year that means a dawn flight. If the geese are already on the field when you arrive and you put them off they are unlikely to return that day. Or you could try an evening flight and shoot them as they leave the field and fly back to their roost , but that has the disadvantage in that you are only likely to get one chance as all the geese lift togeather. cumbrian top shot
Totally agree what anser says, I very much doubt it they will return if you walk them off in the afternoon, you need to be there before the geese arrive in the morning.
