neil
Whilst looking through some old magazines for rabbitstopper last night i was struck by how little price increases we have had(from sept 86),cartridges for example, fiocci trap&skeet 87.00 per 1000,eley grand prix 97.00 per 1000.new baikels from between 150 &300 quid depending on spec and brownings for between 900 & 1900 quid for various models. The other thing that struck me was how few adds there are in the mags, nearly every page has an artical about somthing. The only big difference was 5 shot & 8 shots were all still classed as shotguns and you could have them mail order
Cranfield
neil, I think that the information you have found, just proves how much more we were paying in the past, than we needed to have done. There is no doubt that competition, has kept cartridge prices down. You could always buy weapons cheaper in Europe and the USA, than here, in fact you still can, except the difference is not so great. Exactly the same situation exists with fishing tackle.
