Graham M
My wife is getting text messages from some scumbag company called M X Telecom who are stealing £1 every time they text. They have texted 8 times since last night, and despite being texted the word “STOP†they continue to send. I have enquired about this on the O2 site but they seem powerless to do anything, saying that it is the mobile phones owner to ensure that they don’t subscribe to any premium rate numbers. This is a joke because she hasn’t subscribed and indeed cannot un-subscribe. Surely these people aren’t above the law and can be stopped. G.M. pin
M X Telecom are just a reseller of slightly dubious facilities (think spam but with mobiles). My advice is to turn off the mobile, inform 02 that you don't want any more text messages delivered and will keep the phone off for now. This will stop the charges for now. Your next step is with ofcom, happy to advise if you want some help. You have PM

pin
I said ofcom, I meant The Independent Committee for the Supervision of Standards of Telephone Information Services (ICSTIS). Its a very easy typo the keys are like right next to each other They are an industry funded body responsible for this kind of thing. You can get in touch with them here :- ICSTIS 4th Floor Clove Building 4 Maguire Street London, SE1 2NQ I have had nearly 2 bottles of wine at this point, so I think you might forgive me
Graham M
It’s OK, I did realise what you meant when I went onto the OFCOM site and saw the link to ICSTIS. Have sent them an email and will see what happens. G.M.
